About Arssm

Arssm makes the tee that most people already own three of: oversized, heavyweight cotton, washed until it is soft, in the colours that go with everything. The difference is that we sell it three at a time, in one size, at one price, and we say plainly that it runs a size wider than the letter on the label.

Acid wash is our second signature. The mill dyes each tee, then washes it with the colour partly stripped back, so no two come out the same and the fabric arrives pre-softened rather than stiff. It also means the first wash at home changes nothing, because the tee has already been through worse.

The range grew outward from that tee. Long sleeves and henleys in the same cotton. Tanks with the sleeves taken off. Sweat shorts and sweatpants washed in the same bath so a set matches. Then the pieces a wardrobe needs around a tee: sweaters with a dinosaur or a cat on them, a faux fur coat for December, pajama sets, and a kids' line that gives children the same pack at a smaller size.

The rule we use when we add a piece is short. Its page has to say what it is made of, how it is cut, how it fastens and what is in the pack, in the maker's own words. A page that does not mention a feature is a page where we could not confirm one, and we would rather leave a line out than guess from a photograph.

Sizing is where people misread the range most often, so we say it twice. Oversized is a cut. A Medium oversized tee is still a Medium. The room sits in the pattern, not in the label. If you want the tee to hang, buy your size. If you want it closer, buy one down. Sleepwear, blouses and the ribbed tops run true and want your usual size.

Packs change the arithmetic too. Three tees at one price is a per-tee cost you can work out on the page, and we print it there so you do not have to. Two singles in colours you like are still a better buy than a pack with one colour you will not wear.

We do not run a shop of our own. You buy every piece through our retail partner, and the buttons open the exact pack in the exact size and colour you chose here. Prices move with the season, so we refresh ours on a schedule and print the date of the last refresh on one page rather than promising a number we cannot hold.

The thing we will not do is tell you a piece does something it does not. Cotton does not wick, faux fur lets rain in, a built-in bra gives light support and a tracksuit is not for running in. Arssm is for the days that do not need technical fabric, and this site exists so you can pick the pack once and get on with them.
